I don’t see what’s cool or tricky about most of these. I just clicked through the first few, mind you, but what’s cool/tricky about a giant image or a background gradient with repeat-x on it? Maybe you should have explained your choices instead of just listing with images.

A cool background effect can be seen on Think Geek’s site, as the background appears to gradually switch from aliens to zombies as you scroll.
