How to develop and market your Mobile Apps


We don’t blame you for wanting in on the Mobile Application market. Frankly, we’ve never seen anything like this before, and it’s just the very beginning.

The Mobile App market is booming right now, and looks like it will be fertile for profits indefinitely. This boom has attracted thousands of techies and tech-minded people into the fray, all of them vying to get big chunks of app money. There’s so much potential to make a fortune and to establish one’s self in this promising industry, people with little to absolutely no computing experience are educating themselves specifically so that they can get in on the Mobile Application market in some way or another.

Knowledge is Power

So if you want to create and market your own Mobile Apps, you will of course need to know how to develop software. This requires a somewhat advanced knowledge of computer programming. But you don’t need to be a genius.

In fact, there are numerous programs available which allow people with limited computer programming skills to develop their own applications. We expect this ease-of-development to continue to increase as technology and the public’s demand for new and unique apps continue to blow up in concert.

For now, you should find somebody else if you don’t have the skills yourself. Good news: there are tons of nerds out there in need of good direction. And good direction is essential to effectively creating and launching a successful mobile application. Your vision for your application is by far the most important element in the mix. If you don’t know what you want to do, then you’d better have enough money to hire somebody who does.

But it’s not that difficult to come up with your own original application idea. Look around you, look at what people like, figure out a unique way to present this to them through an application, and get cracking on developing it. OK, it’s not that easy, but you certainly shouldn’t be intimidated from trying. Know your limits, and then push them as hard as you can.

Quality is Just the First Step

Many great applications have been developed that nobody knows anything about. This is because they were never marketed properly. You could come up with a Cancer-Curing application, but nobody’s going to buy it if nobody sees it.

Marketing for applications should be a step by step process. You should have 3 or 4 optional plans for each step, based on several contingencies. Don’t get scared at the process… if you really have already gotten to the development, this marketing part should be breezy and fun.

The real challenge is to find the most memorable and actionable campaign strategy. Lots of developers like to find a large group of beta-testers to foist their apps upon. This is a good idea, because it not only engenders word of mouth, but also allows for kinks and bugs to be exposed. Other marketing strategies abound, and your judgment is the key to finding the best one. Just remember, it’s your money at stake!
